Bio
Pampa Louzao (Buenos Aires 1989) is an Argentine visual artist whose practice focuses on contemporary pencil on paper drawing. He began his training in industrial design and visual arts in Buenos Aires, and since 2012 has developed much of his work independently, researching techniques and visual languages within drawing.
In 2014 he lived in London, where he exhibited part of his work at Bank Contemporary Gallery, marking his first international exhibition experience. Over the years he has also lived and worked in cities such as London and Playa del Carmen, Mexico, experiences that have influenced his artistic path.
He currently lives and works in Buenos Aires, where he continues to develop his artistic practice through contemporary drawing projects.

Artist Statement
My work primarily focuses on contemporary drawing, using pencil on paper as my main technique.
Through drawing i connect with imagination and with the beauty present in the world around us. I am interested in creating scenarios where objects of different kinds interact with one another as if they belonged to a dream or a parallel world; a mental place where everything is possible.
My body of work develops through series or projects that allow me to investigate a theme in depth, although i also create individual drawings that emerge in a more spontaneous way.
The working process is slow and meditative. Repetition, concentration, and the time devoted to detail are fundamental elements in the construction of the image.
My work evolves with each stage and personal search. I understand artistic practice as a process in constant transformation, where each series functions as a space for research and visual development.
